As the name suggests the Ultralite self inflating mat is ultra lightweight and is therefore designed for backpackers and hikers who want as little as possible weighing them down. Self inflating mats mean you don't need to carry a pump which would add bulk, simply blow up. This mat is used to sleep on and provide a little more comfort and warmth against what can be a cold, bumpy ground. Vango has recommended the Ultralite as suitable for Duke of Edinburgh camping.
